DR MERELIE HALL
MBBS MECH FRACGP
I first became interested in “how the human body works” when my youngest brother was born. I read Dr Benjamin Spock , the “guru” of child rearing at the time, at age 10. First Aid training , aimed at voluntary ambulance bearers, run by a country town QAS officer, followed. (He said I could do the training but not drive the ambulance – just because I was 12 . Spoilsport). M.B., B.S (Hons) from University of Queensland in 1971. FRACGP exams in 1989. Interest led to Masters degree in Environmental and Community Health in 1999. Started paediatric training in Perth in 1973, but got side-tacked into raising my own 3 children . I enjoy working with mothers and babies, but also believe that babies need strong healthy parents, aunts & uncles, and grandparent. . Still enjoying both doing and learning about Medicine, especially reproductive medicine, endocrinology, preventive medicine, and communicable diseases i.e. trying to prevent them .
