Annabelle is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian with 20 years experience. Annabelle developed a passion for diabetes early in her career as she could see the immediate results healthy food choices had on the day to day experiences of people living with diabetes. Annabelle has been a credentialed diabetes educator for 12 years and was one of the first dietitians in QLD to gain the credential. Annabelle has worked in tertiary public hospital settings, community centres and nursing homes. Annabelle is systems focused and loves working with people to coach them to reach their goals. This has lead to many held leadership roles including the Director of Nutrition and Dietetics, Team Leader Dietitian and Senior Project Officer. Annabelle is committed to quality services and has held roles on many national and statewide committees to ensure clinical governance and high levels of patient care. Annabelle is a member of the Australian Diabetes Educators Association Credentialing committee. Annabelle has been an invited speaker to both consumer and health professional conferences.
Annabelle is passionate about person centred care and works with individuals to explore their diet and disease stories. Annabelle takes an individual, evidence based practice approach to empowering people to make healthy choices that support their health goals. Annabelle has worked with diabetes in pregnancy, type II Diabetes and Type I Diabetes. Annabelle is experienced with Type I Diabetes including being a trained DAFNE facilitator.
Annabelle is experienced in Medical Nutrition therapy to treat chronic disease including:

Annabelle is passionate about physical activity and encourages everyone to get out and enjoy this beautiful state!! When not working Annabelle can be found exploring an obscure book shop, cooking local produce or hiking.
